Highlights:

  • A Brown Creeper pair was a pleasant surprise, skillfully blending into the tree trunks.

  • The Golden-crowned Kinglets gave us excellent close views as they flitted among the branches.

  • Several Eastern Bluebirds added a welcome burst of color on a gray January morning.

Despite the chilly conditions, the group covered just under a mile in a little over an hour, enjoying clear skies and minimal wind—a great morning for winter birding.
